The Center for Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) is a specialty program located at Colgan High School. It is a rigorous course of study that includes both academic and fine arts components. The program strives to prepare students for entrance into the college and/or professional arena with complete portfolios and solid core academic skills.
Colgan High School has a state of the art facility specifically designed to support students involved in the arts. The vision is to encourage and develop creativity, self-expression, academic achievement and critical thinking in the young artist in a nurturing environment. The staff and faculty of CFPA encourage both individual and ensemble activities that sustain and support the contributions of the arts to the human spirit.
The Colgan CFPA program includes Band, Choir, Creative Writing, Dance, Music Technology, Orchestra, Piano, Theatre, and Visual Arts.

The Colgan High School CFPA Boosters is a non-profit organization of dedicated parents, guardians, teachers, school administrators, and community members. The CFPA Boosters supports all nine of the Colgan High School Center for the Fine and Performing Arts concentrations.
The mission of the CFPA Boosters is to advocate for CFPA courses and activities by providing financial and logistical support in a balanced and inclusive fashion for all CFPA concentrations and the students who participate in them, in accordance with the PWCS Policies and Procedures.
Our goals and objectives are to support, recognize, and increase awareness of the efforts of our CFPA programs and CFPA students through funding for CFPA school field trips/opportunities and post-secondary training/education. We also strive to provide additional opportunities and resources to our CFPA programs and CFPA students that may not be funded by Colgan High School.​
Yes, there is a fee to join the CFPA Boosters. We offer several membership levels and the fees are used to support all CFPA concentrations. For more information on our membership levels, please visit our Membership page.
**Please note: all CFPA Boosters memberships are valid for the current school year (August - June) and should be renewed when each new year begins.
